If you love Hallmark movies with mushy happy endings you'll love this book. There is no conflict whatsoever, nothing to really recommend this story. You have a handsome athlete alpha sex dog who meets a quirky blog-writing good guy who took his pregnant sister and his nephew in when the family threw her out. The two men fall in live and live happily ever after. That's it. I'd like a bit more of a story, please. BTW: A question I always have for writers like this one, do you really think that gay men must always claim their partner with a bite mark or some kind of branding?! Not sure why so many M4M romance writers think thre top guy must own the bottom man and "mark" him, claim him as his own. What's with that?! It doesn't take much for me to love one of Ms Locey's books and this was no exception. She had me at goalie since that is my favorite kind of hockey book, so as soon as she announced that it was out I hopped on it and so happy I did. The story was very sweet and romantic with all kinds of feel-good feelings. There was heat with the story, but I mostly walked away feeling the romance. I loved both Bryn and Michael equally and enjoyed the lack of angsty trouble in their relationship. Reading this was an absolute delight! Looking forward to whatever is coming next.
